Roller Shell

Roller shell is the surface of roller assembly where raw materials are pressed against the die. It can be used on pellet machine to make kinds of feed pellets, fuel pellets or other kinds of pellets. There are many types of roller shell, such as Open Ends Corrugated, Closed Ends Corrugated, Dimpled, Fish Scale Shaped, and oblique shaped roller shell, etc. Corrugated roller shell and dimpled roller shell are the mostly used types in the livestock and poultry feed pelleting and biomass pelleting industry.

Comparisons of Corrugated Roller Shell and Dimpled Roller Shell
● The advantage of dimpled roller shell is the even wearing of ring die or flat die, but bad coil performance.
● Corrugated roller shell is of good coil performance, but the wearing of the die is not even.
● Closed ends corrugated roller shell is mainly used for making aquafeed. Because corrugated roller shell with closed ends can reduce slippage of materials when being extruded and offer resistance to plugging the die.
